Evin Amiri of 21:03 Set to Release ‘A Prelude to Freedom Music’

Evin Amiri, one-third of Gospel trio, 21:03 is ready to branch out and make his own mark in music. The singer/songwriter is gearing up for the release of his first solo effort entitled “A Prelude to Freedom Music,” and for your information the group 21:03 has NOT dissolved. Evin simply describes “A Prelude to Freedom Music” as an extension to his musical breathe.
“A Prelude to Freedom Music” will be available for FREE download on Friday April 6. You can expect production from PAJAM, Travis Malloy, Streetwood, and Thaddeus Dixon. The project will consist of cover songs, mash-ups, and original material. The mixtape will consist of different genres of music and various topics.
I’m definitely looking forward to April 6th! It’ll be nice to hear Evin Amiri express himself as an artist outside of the Grammy nominated and Stellar Award-winning trio, 21:03. Evin explained that Freedom Music isn’t a sub-genre he’s trying to create. He say’s, “It’s me saying I’m free to be ME, and I’m free to say it how I want to say it, be transparent, and tell the story of my peers in a creative way.” He feels it’s his most honest expression for all of the people who feel bound by topic and genre restrictions.
Well, there you have it! “A Prelude to Freedom Music” will be available for FREE download on April 6th, and this is just the beginning. Keep your eyes and ears open for the final project “Freedom Music,” which is set to be released July 4, 2012!
