ABOUT THE GOSPEL GURU

DeVante Arbet successfully garnered the title of The Gospel Guru; being widely sought out as the ‘in-the-know’ guy when it comes to the Gospel music industry. After years of honing his passion for Gospel music from an early age ‘the guru’ became a brand.

“I feel that TheGospelGuru.com is very necessary because I don’t think enough outlets exist for Christian/Gospel music. Also, I want to aid in bridging the gaps between Christian and Gospel music. I don’t feel that the two genres should be separate…both are proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” says Arbet.

Arbet has been around music all of his life which is where his passion stems from. A few of his greatest musical influences include Gospel legends: The Clark Sisters, Daryl Coley, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong. Max Siegel is an industry role model to ‘the guru’ who says, “Max Siegel is someone that I really look up to and respect in the industry. He has shown me that you don’t have to limit yourself to do one thing. He has worked in sports, media, and entertainment.”

Currently, Arbet is a marketing student at The University of Louisiana at Monroe. His future plans are to start his own online marketing company.
