Destiny’s Child’s LaTavia Roberson’s Mothers Day Prayer for Covenant House
Saving Our Daughter’s YELL Mom LaTavia Roberson Donates thousands in
Baby clothes & Supplies to New Mothers around the Country.
As Mother’s Day is approaching one of Saving Our Daughters’ influential celebrity ambassadors LaTavia Roberson is making sure new young moms from homeless shelters will indeed have a blessed Mother’s Day. The new mom and 2x Grammy winning original member of Destiny’s Child has donated boxes brand new baby clothes & supplies for the ”Mother & Child” program of the Covenant House.
“The moms will be super excited to receive baby clothes and needed baby items from one of the original members of Destiny’s Child. LaTavia’s gifts will be a huge surprise for the moms as the items will be given out during their “Mothers Sleep Out for Homeless Youth” right before Mother’s Day weekend at the Covenant House of Houston Texas, where LaTavia is from” stated Curtis Benjamin, chief Executive Director of Saving Our Daughters.
LaTavia’s donations will also be sent to the Covenant House International offices in NYC, where over 70 moms who participate in the “Mother & Child” program will receive many of the baby clothes from the New Jersey Nursery of the Covenant House as well as the Salvation Army in Cleveland Ohio.
“Its no accident that there are 7 billion people on this planet, clearly we are not here to live selfishly but to help one another as best we can. I thank God for the opportunity to help and share what He’s given to me with others. Being a mother is one of the best, most important responsibilities some women are given, the mere thought of knowing someone cares about what you’re going through can be invaluable”.

LaTavia will also be creating an inspirational and healing public service announcement for Mother’s Day to encourage young moms from the Covenant House to remain strong during any hard times they may be facing!
