MARVIN SAPP’S ‘I WIN’ DEBUTS AT NO.1

 

One of Gospel music’s leading men, Marvin Sapp released his highly anticipated album “I Win,” in which has landed at the top of the charts. “I Win” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart, and No. 9 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. According to the nielsen soundscan report the project moved an outstanding 44,177 units in the first week of sales! This is Marvin Sapp’s third consecutive album to debut at No.1, and his first album since the passing of his wife MaLinda Sapp. Congratulations to Marvin Sapp for a successful first week in sales.

Coming in at No. 2 is J.J. Hairston and Youthful Praise with their new release ”After This.” The new project is the sixth album from J.J. Hairston and Youthful Praise via Light Records. The project was recorded live at The First Cathedral in Bloomfield, Connecticut and features the title track and lead single “After This,” and guest appearances from Tye TribbettLaShun PacePastor Hezekiah Walker, and more. Taking the No. 3 spot on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album Chart is Wow Gospel 2012, and coming in at No. 4 is Smokie Norful with “Once in a Lifetime.” Snagging No. 5 on the Gospel sales chart is maestro, Fred Hammond with his latest release “God, Love, & Romance.”
