Donnie McClurkin Gushes Over Reality TV Star NeNe Leakes on Twitter; Calls Her ‘Beautiful’

While the Christmas season has many Christian leaders professing their love for Jesus Christ and celebrating His birth, Pastor Donnie McClurkin was professing his love for Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV star, NeNe Leakes on Twitter.
According to the recording artist and pastor of Perfecting Church, on Christmas Eve, he was alone at “home a little sick and recuperating,” so he got “hooked” on the drama-filled RHOA marathon.
“It was intriguing,” Pastor McClurkin said of the show. He also called Leakes, former stripper turned television star, “beautiful,” noting that he had met her once.
“Aww Thanks Donnie,” responded Leakes, re-tweeting McClurkin’s flattering words to her more than 900,000 followers.
The self-proclaimed “very rich” actress also stars in NBC’s new gay comedy “The New Normal,” with a basic premise that centers on a homosexual couple who hires a surrogate to have their baby.
Conservative Christian organization, One Million Moms, boycotted the show where Leakes plays Rocky, the fierce assistant of father-to-be Bryan Buckley (Andrew Rannells).
OMM says, “NBC is using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage.”
NeNe Leakes, an outspoken, outgoing, and outsized personality, was recently featured on the cover of Ebony’s Annual Power 100 issue bathing in diamonds—a feature that was met with great controversy. Many argued that her negative reality TV persona perpetuates harmful stereotypes about angry, violent black women who are often highlighted in the media.
Known to fuss out, cuss out, or lash out at anyone who gets in her way, Leakes has figured out how to turn her shenanigans into dividends, and convert lots of fans along the way—among them, Pastor Donnie McClurkin.
