Fans of WE tv’s reality show “Mary Mary” have reason to rejoice.

Gospel singer Erica Campbell, one half of the GRAMMY® Award-winning duo, has officially confirmed that season 6 is on the way.

No air date has been announced, but the nationally syndicated host of Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell leaked the news Tuesday, Jan. 10 live on her radio show.

The revelation may come as a surprise to some fans, especially since, last year, the “I Luh God” singer expressed hesitance about churning out any more episodes.

Aside from Season 5’s escalating tensions between the famous singing sisters, there was a lot of negative feedback about Tina Campbell—something that bugged Erica.

“I’ve just got to protect my family man, and when, you know, I see people beating up on my sister I don’t like it,” the 44-year-old told Hip Hop Hollywood in a June 2016 red carpet interview at the ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Awards.

The barrage of critiques aimed at the “Destiny” singer at the time made Erica noncommittal about the continuation of the invasive format. “I can fight all day long, but I can’t have the world doing that [to my sister], so, I don’t know,” she said.

Truth is, both were heavily criticized by Christians and non-Christians alike for acting no differently than those who don’t claim to be followers of Jesus.

“It’s a lot of unnecessary arguing and bickering and stuff,” said Tina during an interview on TBN’s “Praise the Lord,” acknowledging that nasty attitudes and confrontations don’t reflect their professed Christianity.

Also, last season, Tina’s refusal to work on new Mary Mary music despite owing Sony, their label, one more record. This put financial strain on Erica’s husband, Warryn Campbell, who was given a seven-figure advance and needed to deliver the final project to the record company.

At one point, the California Worship Center pastor seemed desperate enough to explore the idea of replacing the self-proclaimed “red-haired Mary” and moving forward.

But prayerfully the drama is behind them all now.

“I love my sister,” Erica told her listeners, “and I just talked to her yesterday.”

We don’t know what Tina said, so we’ll just have to wait and see what unfolds.
