Dathan Thigpen Named Season 8 Sunday Best Winner

It’s certainly been a long road for budding star Dathan Thigpen.  Five years after being narrowed down from thousands of contestants on Season 3 of Sunday Best, the Mississippi native bested Clifton Ross and Zebulon Ellis to be named 2015’s Sunday Best all star.

His win sees him follow in the footsteps of previous winners Tasha Page Lockhart and Geoffrey Golden both of whom went onto release chart-topping solo albums under the tutelage of Kirk Franklin.

While we look forward to music from all of the blossoming vocalists from Season 8 of Sunday Best, we at The Gospel Guru extend our congratulations to Mr. Thigpen for being crowned this year’s Sunday Best!
