Rising Gospel Star Tyler Little Celebrates Run To Top 4 On BET’s Sunday Best

Tyler Little is extremely talented, having made it into the Top 4 during season 6 of BET’s hit gospel singing competition, Sunday Best.
Tyler captured the hearts of many as he competed on the top-rated series week after week. Despite being eliminated, Tyler is extremely hopeful about his burgeoning career in gospel music.
The Gospel Guru caught up with the budding artist for a quick chat, get into the interview below….
TGG: What would you say you’ve taken away from your time on Sunday Best?
Tyler: A whole lot…from Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin, and as well as the other contestants. With me being one of the youngest on the show I had a chance to sit and listen and hear wisdom from people that have being doing this much longer than me. I thank God for the opportunity to sit among the greats and just be in their presence. It just lets me know that god can take you anywhere.
TGG: Do you feel that the Sunday best platform help shape you as an artist?
Tyler: It definitely taught me stage presence. As you saw on the show I was tense on the first couple of episodes…you know standing in one spot and not really moving around. Once again, it took Kim Burrell…she was like you’ve got a lot goin’ on, you’re very musical and that should make you want to move a lil’ bit. So I took that and applied it to what I was doing.
TGG: So, with you being from Chicago did you feel in pressure with such Gospel greats coming from Chicago?
Tyler: Absolutely. Well, I wouldn’t say pressure but I did feel obligated to represent home in the right way.
TGG: Sunday Best has come to an end, what can we expect from Tyler Little as an artist?
Tyler: I’m coming! I’m on the move, I have an excellent team….First quarter of next year you can expect my single. Ya’ll gonna like it, i’m not even gonna elaborate on it.
TGG: Lastly, what advice would you give to future Sunday best contestants?
Tyler: Don’t give up. If you feel that’s what God has called you to do, go for it. Also, be able to take constructive criticism because you’re going to get a lot of it. Keep God first in your life, and just go for it!
