Earnest Pugh Receives Honorary Doctorate!
Gospel force Earnest Pugh will add yet more pages to his already-inspirational story, after announcing that he recently received his honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree in Christian Counseling from the Institute for Teaching God’s Word (ITGW) in Rockdale, TX for his 20 years of dedicated service in ministry, the music industry and the community at large.
What’s more, the ‘Rain On Us’ singer revealed that he’s on course to earn a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling from ITGW and expects to graduate in 2014.
More power to Earnest! As the age old adage goes ‘knowledge is power’, and unlike the faux-power that arguably characterizes ‘celebrity’, education is a form of power that can’t be taken away. Kudos to Mr. Pugh for being a great role model to those who feel it may be too late. It’s never too late.
In other news, Pugh’s new single “More of You” has landed in the Top 40 after a week in release. The song is lifted from his forthcoming “The W.I.N. (Worship In Nassau) Experience” LP, which is scheduled to arrive on 8/27 courtesy of P-Man Music.
