Album Review: Jor’Dan Armstrong – ‘Stronger’
Artist: Jor’Dan Armstrong
Album: Stronger
Label: N/A
iPod Pick: Tropicana
This is that artist we’ve all been waiting for. Seriously,. No one wants to miss the fresh and unique sound Jor’Dan offers on his LP Stronger. Jor’Dan’s got the voice texture and pitch of fellow R&B dudes such as Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo and Trey Songz. We all know what these ones got in common, vocals that could wake you from a long night sleep with a smile and of course sizzling beats but Jor’Dan takes it a step further and brings in some flavor which might have only be accustomed to artist such as Sean Paul and Sean Kingston (‘Tropicana’). This very song is over the top and it’s a song lyrically directed at God. One word; coolness.
‘Stay Clean’ which features Franchise Tief is a personal favorite. The flows are so dope! And it simple, playful beat is displays awesome creativity. ‘Alibi’ is another track that stands out. It’s party ready.
One thing that would get you on this album is the confidence displayed in the lyrics and music. Jor’Dan knows what he’s talking about. He’s bold for the cause which he sings for and he is one role-model other young guys should look up to.
Jor’Dan Armstrong’s “Stronger” is one you really don’t want to miss. It’s different and honestly I haven’t heard anything like this on the CCM scene before. No exaggeration, not at all. This is one great artist you want to see make more great music.
