WOW GOSPEL 2012 NO. 1; JAMES FORTUNE’S ‘IDENTITY’ NO. 2

The year’s 30 Top Gospel Artists and Songs by “WOW Gospel 2012” has snagged the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart. The popular compilation series sold a handsome 4,896 units last week! Coming in at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart is James Fortune and FIYA with “Identity.” The chart topping ensemble moved 3,931 units last week according to the Nielsen Soundscan report. Congrats to James Fortune and FIYA on yet another successful week in sales.

Taking the No. 3 spot on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart is Fred Hammond with his latest release “God, Love, & Romance.” And re-entering the Top 5 is Hip Hop general, Lecrae with “Rehab” at No. 4.  This project has been selling like crazy, and let’s not forget that “Rehab” was released back in 2010! Coming in at No. 5 is BET’s Sunday Best favorite Andrea Helms with her debut EP “Moving Forward.” Well, that’s this week’s Top Gospel Artists and Albums, be sure to go out and get these projects if you haven’t done so already!
