By Renessta Olds:
Ben and Jewel Tankard are back with their self proclaimed “Black Brady Brunch” for Season 3 of Bravo’s “Thicker Than Water
The Gospel Guru got a chance to speak with Mrs. Jewel Tankard on the Journey from Season 1 to Season 3.
R.O. – How has the journey been from Season 1 to now?
J.T. – In the beginning, in Season 1, we only wanted the cameras to see the good and nothing bad. From Season 1 to Season 3 its been a lot of hard work and personal discovery. The show has definitely brought the family closer. We have become more vulnerable and authentic
R.O – What has it been like doing a reality show?
J.T. – Its been good. On tv your strength and weakness are mirrored.
R. O. – Whats your favorite part of filming?
J.T. – It would be family time -the meetings, dinner and outings
R.O – So tell me about one of your newer ventures the “Jewel Tankard Show” airing on the Impact network.
J.T. – well I’m a master communicator and love talking to people. The show is all about lifestyle, beauty and issues that impact people’s everyday live. The show just got picked up for season 2 so I’m excited about that.
R.O. – You also have another project that you are passionate about and that is Jewels’ Millonairess Club & Portfolio. What is that all about?
J.T. – Its really about wealth strategy and women growing their financial portfolio. Making sure women are financially aware of what’s going on around them.
R.O. – Wow, that’s so inspiring because i know a lot of women don’t want to always deal with  financial issues. So I have to talk to you about your fashion aesthetic since I’m a celebrity stylist and fashion editor. What are some of your go to brands?
J.T. – BCBG, Perry Ellis, Vera Wang and Fendi are some of my favorites. I like to look nice but I’m not going to spend a whole lot – I am a bargin shopper.
R.O- I know that’s right. Me too!
J. T. – I want to create generational wealth like the Rockefellers and Vanderbilts so I would rather invest in that.
R.O. – That’s absolutely fab!!! So if you could leave us with one thing to reflect on, what would that be?
J. T. – To fight for your family, make time for your family. Sometimes we show more grace to strangers than we do our own family.
R.O -That’s so true. It’s easy to just walk away but we have to show more love and compassion to our families. Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me.
Season 3 airs on Sundays at 10pm on the Bravo Network.
